Open Houses
Dragon Academy Open Houses are more than opportunities
for prospective parents and students to attend a presentation on the school,
and have a tour of our physical plant. Following an intimate question and
answer session with our founder and principal, Dr. Meg Fox, visitors are
welcome to join current Dragon students, parents and teachers for an informal
talk about a subject which relates both to our innovative curriculum and to
contemporary issues, given by a guest expert. Not only an exciting learning
experience, Open Houses are a way to see the Dragon approach in action, and to
meet and connect with our community.
Last year, we had talks about podcasting with social
media expert John Cowie (September 24), and a life in math and physics with
cancer researcher Joseph Geraci (October 29).
